The most important thing in the classroom is the TEACHER! The teacher must recognize that in order to be effective there is always room for improvement, which really means CHANGE. I waas once told by a seasoned educator to be an effective teacher always ask yourslf ," What can I do or could have done better next time."

I completely agree with you.  We set the mood for our classroom, and there is always room for improvement.

I like that quote, "What could I have done better?"  If we ask ourselves that question everyday, we can't help but become a more effective teacher.

An effective teacher is the most imnportant part of the classroom.  An effective teacher will inspire students and create an atmosphere that is conducive to learning in any situation.

The obvious and accurate answer is that the teacher is the most important variable in the classroom.  This truth cuts both ways.  The effective teacher is self-aware, ready and willing to make changes.  She is tuned into her students - that this is their first experience at the grade level she teaches.  She has the opportunity and obligation to make an educational imprint on these students.

Teachers are by far the most important variable in the classroom.   Most are willing to try different teaching methods in order to reach each and every student.  Teachers can also influence the type day the students have.  If the teacher is happy, excited, and motivational, most students will react positively.  However, there will always be a select few that are extremely hard to reach.

Even though an effective teacher is extremely important in the classroom ......I have to say the students are the most important things in the classroom! I think as teachers when we realize it is about students not us ...we then become effective teachers!!
